First thing in the morning from our RV camp at Grand Canyon Caverns we went to Peach Springs Arizona to begin our 5.5 hour white-water rafting tour. Spending the day at one of the most beautiful natural wonders of the world - the Grand Canyon. We rafted right though it on the Colorado River! Two native Hualapai guides led us on a 40-mile journey through the canyon on class 3 to class 6 rapids (under the Grand Canyon Scale). Along the way we took in brief stops to discover hidden canyons and waterfalls, including Tavertine Waterfall. A not so enjoyable box lunch was provided. The culmination of the rafting trip was a helicopter from the base of the Grand Canyon to ascend 4,000 feet to the rim of the Grand Canyon (approx 6-minute flight). We were returned, exhausted, to Peach Springs in a rickity old school bus!
